our bodies sometimes seem such a breech of modesty that people including children end up with low self esteem and a obscene, indecent attitude to their own bodies

Why are you ashamed of your body? Why are children taught to be ashamed of their bodies!!
Why would god make bodies to be ashamed of?
Simple answer of course is that he did not and that it is misguided and warped humans that do that!!

God did not make them shameful, people's odd attitudes have.
God made our bodies beautiful. There are no indecent body parts, we have just used them indecently at times, and that is what makes them indecent.

most if not all of our body parts fulfill some sort of function that is needed for us to survive and to reproduce.
Adam and Eve felt shame about their nakedness. They tried to hide their bodies, God didn't.
They aren't shameful, it's people's attitudes that make them so....
I'm pagan & apart from the usual body consciousness that everybody has we don't find the body obscene at all, in fact it's beautiful
