He told me that the airline is looking to increase service to DFW this year, as well as add nonstop flights to O'Hare. They understand the situation at LGA is untolerable.
According to the exec, the only issues at JFK that need to be resolved is gate space during the terminal construction.

onedog,
As one who loves winter and can't stand it when the temperature goes above 55 F, yes, it still feels glamorous. However, when a Nor'easter is blowing throw (i.e. this past w/e) all flights will be cancelled. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Does this mean we're closer to NYC-ATL service on our beloved carrier?
So how is AA going to deal with building a new terminal while using the old one?
Also, any word on what routes at LGA may be cut because of the slot lottery?

Is it still glamorous to climb the stairs even when another Nor'easter is blowing through? (of course, this question comes from someone who is suffering through mid to high 70's temperatures today and dreads having to connect through JFK in the winter) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

As far as I know, the current AA terminal is being incorporated into the new one. According to my source, when the terminal is completed, AA will be operating 300 daily departures. The current level is around 100 flights. Let's hope they add more than just Eagle and Transcon service.
Ah, this year is starting out great already! JFK-ORD will give me so many more cheap options to New England during the summertime, as long as the flights are at decent times.
Suggestion for cool sorting options
