Just wondering if there are any "new" questions out there that I should prepare for!

Believe it or not, a secretary's interview is going to be as much about your attitude, ability to multi task, computer skills and phone voice as much as it is about your previous employers. The key thing that we all look for when we interview people is are they going to fit with the current staff and are they going to stay for a while. I don't know about schools, but a lot of companies now like to ask questions in interviews where they want you to give an example of something. It might be a question like "Tell us about a time at work when you took initiative to do something you weren't asked to do?" or "Tell us about a time when you had difficulty managing priorities, and how did you resolve the problem?" They want to know if you learn from past experiences and if you can explain your own personal approach to work.
It's also a very good idea to come prepared with a few questions of your own. Don't ask anything obvious (information provided in the job ad or other materials they've already provided to you) but something a bit more specific, like asking if the department has specific goals for the year, or in what way could someone in this role exceed expectations. A lot of interviewers like being asked questions to show you're really interested in the job. Good luck!
I'm on the hiring/interview committe for my corporation. Here's some questions/situations to consider that they may ask or that you should be prepared to know so you don't feel insecure:
1.) What do you know about the company you are interviewing for? They may ask to see how much you do or don't know.
2.) Have you worked as part of a team before? What was your experience? How do you see your role on a team? (a leader, a go-getter, ready to take direction from your team leader, etc.)
3.) What important decisions have you made in the workplace and walk through your decision-making process/how you set priorities? (the employer will be looking to see if you appear to have problem solving skills and can exhibit common sense.)
4.) What have you done in your past work experience where you have made a difference.
5.) Tell about a time that you have been in a difficult situation at work at what you did about it: With Supervisor; With a Peer; With a Customer.
6.) Try to squeeze-in a question for the interviewer that was not covered. They will usually ask if you have any questions before they say goodbye to you. Having a question often shows interest and that you are engaged in the moment, rather than walk you in and walk you out and call the "next" person.
Hope this helps stimulate some thought for your interviewing.
*What do you feel are your personal strengths, weakness
*Give an example of something you implemented which enhanced
your overall job performance (If not prepared many stumble on this one)
-do your research on the school find out about what make the school unique and special and that's why you want to work there .
