I'm currently an incoming sophomore attending the University of
Hawaii, Manoa. I would like to study abroad at a University in
Bombay, India.....I am interested in a more liberal education than
you'd find in other Indian cities. I am interested in St. Xavier's,
but I was contacted and told that they do not offer any study-abroad
or student exchange programs. Perhaps the researcher can double check
this for me?
I am interested in finding a way to study abroad there from a semester
all the way up to a year. I would just like a list of Bombay
universities/colleges that offer what I seek, where I will study hindi
language and tv/film acting. Please include fees, application
requirements for each school. I already have visa and passport
arrangements planned.
Last question: a short listing of US/Indian scholarships/grants
available to foreign language majors (Hindi/Russian) who want to study
abroad (in India). minglebox | Blogs | Indias Obama Moment?:: Study Abroad - Singapore. I'm an incoming sophomore (10th grade) at UH.
I don't know of any accredited Indian universities in Bombay besides
St. Xavier's and Bombay U. Do you know of any others that offer a
rich Hindi/film program? Madhavi Desai :: we build futures:: students from 1986 while she was pursuing her Masters in America. Study Abroad, column in the BOMBAY TIMES. Study Abroad, column in the BANGALORE TIMES http://www.madhavidesai.com/about_madhavi.htmlHOME | I wish you all the success, but usually universities have agreements
between them regarding students' exchange. The people you should look
for are in Hawaii, in your student exchange section of the university.
Fortunately, on my side at UH, we do offer an independent study abroad
program, where you can study at any esteemed university if you propose
your plan first to UH.
Finding the means here isn't a problem.....what is, though, is finding
an esteemed Indian university that accepts students for a semester or
a year only. St. Xavier's in Bombay was one I contacted, and they
said I had to become a full-time student there pursuing a 3 year BA
degree. That is unacceptable to me because I'm not a St. Xavier's
student, I'm a UH student.
