I need to find the addresses of homes built by a large home builder.
Craftmark Homes based in McLean, VA builds homes in Maryland, Virginia
and Pennsylvania. I am taking this company to trial and would like to
inform otthe homebuyers of the potential to recoup losses. Who can
help me?

After working on your question for many hours, I have come up with
some ideas about how I might help. I wanted to run them by you.
Craftmark has built over 10,000 homes in the east, and it will be a
daunting task to find the addresses of each residence, especially if
the company will not divulge such information. However, it is not
unreasonable to expect that you might find the owners of a reasonable
number of Craftmark homes.
I have identified over ten subdivisions or communities where
Craftmark has built homes, townhomes or condominiums. In a few cases,
I have found building plot plans that reveal the individual lots. One
of the subdivisions I identified is an exclusive Craftmark community,
so all the residents would be potential contacts.
* For most of the subdivisions, you will need to identify which
streets, and lots, have Craftmark homes. This might be as easy as a
simple phone call to a well-informed local realtor, the subdivision or
community office, or the local Craftmark office (under the pretense
that you want to drive by and take a look at their homes in the
community) If you can determine streets or lot numbers, you can then
perform an online search for individual addresses on each street,
(which I can show you how to do.) Alternatively, you can go to the tax
rolls to find the homeowners.
* Another option would be to send a letter to every residence within a
subdivision, saying something like "Craftmark has built several homes
in your community. If you own a Craftmark home, please take the time
to read this letter. You can then include your email, phone number or
a stamped postcard so they can reply. While this will involve a bulk
mailing, it may be the most efficient way to reach your target. Or, if
you have identified certain streets, you can simply write to every
residence on that street, even if a few of them are not Craftmark
homeowners.
* To help you start on your way, I can point you to the subdivisions
that have Craftmark homes, (including a few with plot plans showing
the Craftmark building lots) and some possible contact information to
get the names of streets within each community. I can also provide you
with the method to find the names of individuals that reside on a
particular street.
* While you will still have to do a little more digging, finding the
various subdivisions is probably the largest part of the battle,
especially if you decide to send a mass mailing. Unfortunately, for me
to call all the local contacts is outside the scope of this question
since it would incur many more hours and long-distance costs.

Even if a researcher could identify the individuals residing in homes
built by Craftmark, it would be against the GA terms of service to
provide personal details.
It is possible that I can identify the names and locations of some
subdivisions constructed by Craftmark Homes. If you knew the exact
location of the subdivision, you might then perform a search (on your
own) of individuals residing on particular streets. Would that be
acceptable?

umiat-sorry about the delay in answering. The names of the homeowners
hold no interest for me. Allow me to explain the situation. We are
suing this home builder. If we are successful, there is likely to be
a firestorm of lawsuits against them. My goal is to reach as many
people as possible who have been bilked by the company. I need the
addresses only. Preferable in Virginia and Maryland in the last four
years. I know some of the communities, but not all. The completed
communities are of greater interest. I am looking for a way to avoid
driving around for days stuffing letters in mailboxes. A mass mailing
would be much easier for me, but I of course need specific addresses.
It doesn't seem as though there is an easy way to access the public
records on the basis of seller name. I had hoped there would be.
Unless you have come up with something new it sounds like I'm going to
pack up the kids for a road trip around the Mid Atlantic! I
unfortunately don't have much time left. My trial date is in two
weeks.
