i recently took a total of 2400 inbox emails/ and 1700 outbox emails from netscape 4.7 and transferred them over to outlook 5.5 which was easy to do with the transfer/import tool available with that program (outlook express). I then went into windows/application/microsoft/outlook and saved that entire file over to two zip files, then turned around and formated the hardrive. Now after reinstalling all new O/S and other programs including a new outlook 5.5. I wanted to transfer the emails ( or the outlook ext., about seven of them) from the zip files back onto or over top of the new outlook which is in windows/application/microsoft/outlook and drag the entire folders over on top to restore and put back all the emails.
But after the 6 minutes it took to transfer these files, the emails arn't there..
Why??'

no problem.. I just was looking for some help on this.. as my problem indicates (it's actually a friend of mine)., it should just be as simple as dragging the old on to the new, but wanted to verify first.
