I'm planning on getting a small quote tattooed around my ankle with three stars at the front of my ankle
the font won't be huge, actualy im planning on using Lucida Handwriting size 12-14
i heard right by the heel it'll hurt but i was wondering if somthing so small would still hurt

I have two ankle tattoos, one on the inside and one on the outside of the same leg. I would say that near the ankle bone and it was more scratchy than sore. Put it this way, if the first one hurt that badly I would not have gone back for the second one. Tattoos and Piercings: Blood and Pain::
My first tattoo was on the outside of my right ankle. The lowest one was ok, but a month later when I got one above it, it hurt so bad, I almost cried.

I have an ankle tattoo, and I have to say it hurt like the dickens! It wasn't so bad above the bone but when it got to the bone it was a pain I can not put into words, but I would do it again!
I had a sizable tattoo done and after day one I woke-up to my ankle and foot swollen...so much I couldn't wear my heals and wore Birkenstocks to work for a week.
Luckily with great advice from my artist I put A&D ointment on my ankle and took IBprofen until the swelling went down (after a full week).
It looks beautiful!
