I have a tattoo on the side of my belly under the belly button. I cant say it feels nice coz it does hurt but it wasnt that bad. Pinch yourself with your fingernails quite hard and it feels roughly like that but for a long time. The lower the more sensitive it is so the more it hurts. Its a hard feeling to describe. Its a sharp scratchy pain. But not hugely painful, but then everyone has a different pain threshhold.

if this is your first tattoo it will be uncomfortable no moatter where you get it... i got a pegasus as my first and its halfway between my belly button and hip on my right hand side. i have a high thresh hold for pain and i didnt mind it at all... i actually quite enjoyed it!!! i just noticed you are only 14... wait till your 18 when its legal or 16 with your parent. your body still developing and changing shape and you dont want to distort your tattoo. plus you should only get one if you REALLY want one and have taken time to think of what you want...remember its there forever..
I have a tatto in that area, and I didn't find it hurt more than any other places I got it done... but others I know say they found it more tender. I think everyone has a different tolerance to pain so it varies. I do want to add though that youar every yong and I am not against tatts in any way, I have several but tak e your time in getting one. I wanted one young at 15 and my parents said I had to wait till I was 18 then they wouldn't mine, they just wanted me to think about it beacuse it is something that will be on your body forever. I am glad I waited, at the time I wanted some cartoon character...but I outgrew that and I'm glad I didn't get it! I put alot of though into my tattoes and they are meaningful to me. So take your time. Also, I am now pregnant so it may get really distorted, so something to consider!!!
