My newborn (10days) tummy looks rather larger and bloated compared to her scrawny chicken legs. It looks like she has a large abdomen (wide) and very small waist and little legs. Is that normal? It looks rather bloated but she still eats alot and uses the bathroom 6-8 times a day. I have also pushed down on her stomach a little and she seems to not react. She just doesnt look very porportionate but this is our first child so we dont know what we should expect. Husband says that its fine since she is eating, sleeping and pooping fine. what do you guys think? I am a little worried..
I think it's probably normal. My daughter is 15 months and her belly is still larger than most of the rest of her body. Doctors have never said anything about it. I think it's just how babies look. If something changes with her bowel patterns or eating habits, then call the doctor, but otherwise I'd say it's perfectly normal.
probably normal, my 4 month old still doesn't look even. congrats on the baby
My daughter always had a bloated looking tummy. She is now a year old and still resembles Santa Claus! I remember my daughter's tummy being "full" looking, and pointy at the top and bottom. I'm sure she's fine!
It's normal. My 3 month old son's tummy still looks odd compared to the rest of his body. He eats well, sleeps well, and when awake interacts normally. If your baby was crying or in pain I would worry then. Babies are not the most proportionate of beings lol
i would say she sounds fine but since it's your first and your concerned it doesn't hurt to take her to the doctors
Call your Pediatrician if you this is something that worries you!
