i am wanting to get a tatoo on my stomach i havnt been threw too much pain.. braces, peirced ears thats about it im doing it as a memorial to my dad so i would like to know just what kind of mess im getting myself into. Im a big baby when it comes to pain.
Tattoos don't hurt that much the skin thats getting tattooed tends to become numb after a while. When I was getting my eyebrows tattooed the tattooer used a numbing cream and spray and would use it everytime i said "ouch". Remember that pain is temporary but a tattoo is forever (unless its removed w/ a laser, haha), WikiAnswers - Does it hurt when you get your tongue pierced::

if your not that good with even a little pain stay away from a tattoo then, there not quick to do & will sting. especially on any kind of bone, back, ankle, neck ribs etc & on the belly as it gives a bit more might not hurt as much but it will hurt & you cant get up half way through to walk out. I cant believe your ears hurt they must have been butchers I didnt feel mine
I never had a tattoo done but my friends have.. and they say it depends on the person and who handles pain and who doesnt

If you're a big baby when it comes to pain, a tattoo may not be right for you. What I tell everyone who asks, though is that it doesn't hurt as bad as you think it will.
My dad says that it hurts a little on your arms but a lot on your legs. trust me he knows.
Well they hurt pretty bad. And if you are that sensitive to pain maybe you should think it over. It is a needle goign through your skin. The chances are that it will hurt pretty bad. But if you want it that much I guess it is worth it.
I just got a new tat yesterday(my first one) and I was terrified but when they started to do it I was all like oh thats it. It doesn't hurt that bad at all. Its more annoying then painful but after awhile you get used to it. Just remember to breath.
Trust me I'm a big baby too when it comes to pain but I handle my tattoo like a big girl...I got a tattoo on my lower back and when he did the outline it did not hurt.The only time my tattoo hurted was when he was doing my shading and when he went to the center part of my back by my bones...It feels like they are taking forever to finish but it's all in your head...
Ok, the general rule about tattoos is that the closer you go to a bone (like on your ankle or the back of your neck) the more it hurts, so the least painfull place to put one would be on your butt, or stomach. If you get one just stay away from your hip bone and ask the artist to put on something to numb ur skin. but take a friend along and squeeze the hell out of his/her hand, and don't look while the artist works. that helped for me
I have seven tattoos, mostly large covering a good portion of my body. All of them hurt. How bad is a matter of perspective. Really it depends on how bad you want the tattoo whether or not it is worth it. Adrenaline will help a lot for the first couple of hours. I think most people can cope just fine for that long. Sessions lasting over three hours can become really draining. If you are diabetic make sure to take a few pieces of candy with you since getting tattooed can mess with your blood sugar pretty quickly.
Well I think they hurt pretty bad, think about it, there's a needle making small dots filled with ink on/in your skin. I think it's an agony to do it on your stomach, especially if it's a big one.
For the 1st 30 seconds or so it feels like a typical needle stick. After that it is so repetitive that it almost becomes annoying more that hurting. The more tissue you have above the bone in the tattooing location the less it hurts. Have fun!
The pain is different for everyone. To me, it felt like I was getting scratched by a nail. (My tattoo is on my shoulder blade.)
One thing to keep in mind, if you ever get pregnant, a tattoo on the stomach will stretch.
Don't let the pain factor dictate where you get it. The pain is temporary, the tattoo is for life.
if you are a big baby then i wouldn't suggest getting a tattoo at all, but especially not on ur stomach. i have 4 tattoos ( 1 on foot, 2 on back, and one on stomach). the one on my stomach hurt the worst!
I just got one on my side and some of it was on my stomach. The side hurt way more than the stomach part did. Mostly because it was on my ribs.
It stings yes... and in area's like the inner wrists hurt considerably more as do boney areas etc, but to me it always feels like just getting snapped repeatedly by a rubber band, I actually like the feeling. I know, weird to some. lol
