i will explain why i believe in god: because i have felt certain feelings throughout tough times in my life that there is some outside force that is in charge and cares for me. it could be that i'm delusional. but it makes me happy and makes me stronger. you have a problem with that, honestly?

I've personally never seen atomic fusion happening, but I believe it can. I'ver personally never seen a fish swimming around hundreds of metres below the surface of the sea, but I believe they do.
I've no solid proof the higgs boson the LHC is supposed to detect exists other than some nice mathematical models. They could be right, they may well be wrong. I believe they're right. Religious people have their religious texts as a similar proof.
Religion is generally pretty silly. Sometimes it has some valid thoughts on the nature of the human condition and morality. The fact that you can neither prove nor disprove the existence of a/any god/s is not relevant.
I don't however know why people condemn others to burn in hell. It probably goes back to religion being silly.

No one should believe in what they have never seen of have proof that it exists. But fortunately, God revealed Himself through Israel and Jesus Christ. The written testimonies were studied by millions and they all agree in the genuiness of the written stories. The events were so extraordinary that they were tranmitted from generation to generation.
