My baby is 4 months old in 2 more weeks and he wants to eat 6-8 ounces in one sitting is that normal or is he eating to much? He was a big baby and I usually give him 6 ounces throughout the day and 8 ounces at night before bed and in the morning. Im just wondering how much your 4 month old ate in one sitting? Emma was eating a seven ounce bottle (it made nearly eight ounces once mixed and was all her bottles would hold) every three hours like clockwork...plus rice cereal morning and brown rice cereal evening.
My daughter is now 5 months but at four months she ate 8 oz in a feeding but for breakfast and dinner she ate a 6 oz bottle along with 1/2 a container of babyfood and 2 tablespoons of rice cereal. my theroy is if there hungry let them eat... dont worry if the feeding get up to like 10 oz and every hr or even stay at 8 oz but become more frequent then i would talk to your doc about starting him on cereal, the bottle might not be filling. But just move him up to 8 oz at all feedings and see how he does. He'll stop when hes not hungry anymore. Infants Forum - 12 month old who won't eat::

So don't worry too much. The point is that he is a healthy and happy little boy.

thats what my son is eating as well. he was born aug. 19th and is 3 months. he eats that much all the time but more at 2 1/2 to 3 hours every time. I am thinking of starting him on cereal in a week or so just a little early cause he just doesnt seem to be getting enough. he is still hungry after 8 oz sometimes. your baby sounds very normal.
