My directory structure is so:
start directory: K:MESP_SiteUseful_links
Base URL
http://mesp.comserve-nl.comMESP_Site
Output directory: K:MESP_Site
After indexing and filling out the search page I get a link to the following incorrect directory:
http://mesp.comserve-nl.com/MESP_Site/travel_maps/CSN_Holding_to_Mercure_Hotel.doc Sanctioned educators - Results | HeraldTribune.com | Southwest :: These results shows a list of licensed educators who states Linked story National database of problem teachers flawed Search the database (not Florida) http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20071219/NEWS/254364212HOME | Sacramento/San Joaquin Valley Cotton Planting Forecast--UC IPM:: Funded-project results. Whats new. In the news. Announcements. Site index. Help. Acknowledgments replant due to incorrect forecasts predicting favorable http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/WEATHER/cottonforecast.htmlHOME |
I am missing the subdirectory: Useful_links in the link to work. This happens for any sort of indexing.. I am always missing the main subdirectory.
Even if I make my start directory: K:.MESP_Site I always get missing sub directories for links. G5RV:: Return to Web Store Index. There has been much written about the G5RV. Unfortunately, much of it is incorrect. will give good results on most bands with http://www.radioworks.com/cg5rv.htmlHOME |
Please help.
Check the values you entered in the "Limits" tab of the Configuration window. This affects the memory required at the start of indexing. One common mistake is setting the "Max file size limit" in terms of bytes. The limit here is specified in kilobytes, so you should only need "5000" here if you wish to index files of up to 5 MB in size, for example.
If you are using offline mode and you want to use the start directory,
K:MESP_SiteUseful_links
then maybe your base directory should be
http://mesp.comserve-nl.com/MESP_Site/Useful_links/
In general however using spider mode is better than offline mode for a website. Using spider mode will index dynamic PHP and ASP pages correctly. Offline mode will not.

Turned out I had to change to my base directory k:... Then everything worked. Links had correct address.
Spider indexing will not work as it keeps saying I do not have enough memory. I have 512mb.
