A while back I thought I read something here about mysql4.1 having problems with vb.
I search back but i couldn't find the thread. Thanks
i have mysql4.1.x on the old host and the new one is mysql4.0.x
so how to convert the db correctly with no errors?
The MySQL 4.1.x version of mysqldump has a switch you can use to make this backup compatible with older versions:
--compatible=name
In your case, make a new backup and use this switch:
--compatible=mysql40
Then try to restore this backup to the new system.
4.1.16 should be fine :)
