I came across a bug, or at least what I assume to be a bug.
When XBMC is set to use a foreign character set, in my case Shift-JIS for Japanese characters, the directory flattening does not work correctly in 'My Programs', even if a default.xbe file is present.
I assume that this is to do with the fact that when using Shift-JIS, the '' backslash character is replaced with the '￥' yen-sign character.

fyi, problem is identified. not sure how to fix yet, we need to discuss it some.
I can also confirm that programs won't run when in a different charset, but they will when in the default.

weird. it should never use the labels for filtering, so charset shouldnt matter. will look into it
