im gettin a tattoo in a few months and im scared of needles
Depends where/how big/ and also how much coloring. But its only going to be a bit of pain for something that is going to stay with you the rest of your life!
I give mine about about a 7. It all depends on where you're getting the tattoo and how well you handle pain.
i got one on my back-4, my stomach-2, and one on my upper butt-6.
4 i got mine on my foot.
one on my upper back...maybe a 1 or 2...the one on my thigh...5 or 6, about an 8 where it is higher up near where the crease is when you sit.
It all depends. People have different pain tollerance, and also the location, size, etc.
If pain is all thats stopping you, just go do it. Its not that bad.

It depends on where you place it. I got one on my back and I would say it rated a 3 or 4. It was more discomfort than pain. Then I got one on my sternum and it was an 11. It was ridiculously painful.
Like a lot of the other contributors said, it really depends on where you get it. Places like the chest and ribs hurt a lot more than a fleshy area like thighs. Getting tattooed for me honestly felt like dragging a razor blade across my skin. The healing feels like bad sunburn. It only lasts for a few days.

For starters, you don't say where you're getting it.
poke yourself with a toothpick on different part of your body......the pain is different everywhere
But most importantly, nobody knows how much it will hurt YOU
some people handle it well, others don't.

Depends on the size, where it's located, and your general tolerance for pain. For me it was about a 2. I have a/b a 4x4 inch tattoo on my left inner wrist.
it depends where you get it and what size it is. there are certain areas of the body that hurt worse. none of mine hurt that bad. just gets to be like an annoying feeling.. you also never said if 1 or 10 was the worse =)
i got one on my lower arm, one on my upper arm, and one on my calf. it doesn't hurt at all.
I got a tattoo on my foot and I laughed the whole time....I was scared when I first went but it's wasnt as painful as I thought it was gonna be....Im scared of needles too.....
It really depends on the area, how much your getting done. and your pain tollerence, and if your tattooist knows what they are doing.

Ya its true.. all depends on the location of where your getting it on your body. I have one on my ankle that goes up my leg and it was pretty painful and i have a high tolerance for pain. i also have on on my shoulder and it didn't hurt half as bad. If your scared about the pain at the tattoo place they will most likely give you a test poke... well good luck
