Mine aren't keen on carrots, and they didn't like brocolli either, but who can blame them for that.
To sink them, stick a stainless steel table fork into the vege. If you tie some fishing nylon to it it will be easy to get out again next day.

idk about vegies umm maybe carrots?but ifhes hungry he'll come up and grab floating stuff and drag them to the bottom i just let mine eat the algae in my tank

I used to feed my baby plecos green squash. Slice it and boil it and put it in the tank when it cools. It'll sink.
You can buy a little clip at the pet store that holds small pieces of veggies. It sticks to the glass at whatever feeding level you need for your fish. Don't feed them too much veggies and don't let the veggies go 'skunky'. Good luck!!
