We have other vB sites on the apache server. All rather small and some other sites again not huge traffic. Would be happy to move them all to a seperate sever to be honest and leave the two just running this site.

my.cnf looks fine and stats look fine to me only a few minor changes
1. upgrade to PHP 4.4.2
2. remove PHPA and install APC Cache lastest version from http://pecl.php.net/package/APC. Read install guide at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165367
3. upgrade to vB 3.5.3
4. change httpd.conf maxclients from 1000 to 256 and restart apache
