My t.v keeps freezing every ten seconds, what can i do to prevent this?

do you switch it off at the plug at night ?? i did that and mine frozze and broke if you do that then dont in the longrun it judt damages the box. Windows 7 freezes - Page 10::

Well I have a V box, but is pretty much the same. This happened to me, and it was due to me stacking other stuff on top, such as a dvd player. It needs plenty of ventilation. Try it, I was surprised how well it works.

In the last week or so, if has started playing up in a number of circumstances: a lot of BOGUS AUDIO LENGTH and BOGUS EVENT LENGTH errors, plus some other errors, exaples of which I give here: The sky signal is fine - I can watch sky tv absolutely fine on aux or when watching from the sky box directly.

Also, on top of the tv isn't the best place for a "set top box" as they over heat, this causes them not to work as well, such as freezing images.

Mine is doing the same, they're not built to last and I suspect they are both coming to the end of their life. Sky will try to charge you for a replacement but if you insist you will cancel your contract they do eventually relent and replace, if not for free then for a nominal sum.
