Parts of his fin are just missing randomly. I don't have any other fish in the tank, the only thing that he has gone through that is different than usual is he lived in a different tank for a week.
How often do you change his water. Do you make sure to treat it with a dechlorinator. It could be fin rot or a fungus. How long has it been like this? HE IS PROBABLY REALLY OLD. THAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY ARE REALLY OLD AND IS GETTING READY TO DIE. SORRY TO SAY IT THOUGH. LOL. WELL ENJOY THE LAST FEW DAYS WITH THE BETTA.

Betta's, with their excessive plumage, are very susceptible to fin rot. What I would immediately do is go to the pet sotre and ask for some fin rot medications. Then add it to the water as directed, if things dont get better do a water change, then treat the water again.
