This is a wamp install to my local xp pc. Most everything seems to work, even phpadmin only it times out as I would expect from my host.
I have searched all over the net, the wamp forum (which is a joke), the questions rarely get answered. I wonder if people were born with this no how and expect all others to just know how to do this stuff.
I tried going to cmd line but still not sure of exactly what to enter. Everything is under c:wamp I see mysqldump.exe in bin also I can get in to mysql console and type h for help but see nothing on restoring database.
Thanks for any help or point me to a book, I really want to learn this stuff so I can manage my own server one day.
Thanks.
I can't seem to change to the correct directory or any for that matter. Is the .exe needed ? I have been leaving it off.
When I am in the mysql console and type h I get a few commands, not many. They also say to end using ; but I am not sure if that is for everything or not.
The prompt I see is
mysql>
Think this is changable.
Thanks for your help Lats!
Ok I see how to do this from cmd prompt if I have all directories filled in correctly.
I was hoping there would be a way to do this from the mysql console prompt but can't figure that part out.
