I have upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 on my Windows XP SP2 desktop PC. I setup the new sharing feature for the library in WMP11. I am currently sharing my whole library which is videos (AVI) and unprotected (no DRM) lossless WMA music files for my CD collection that I am backing up.

XBMC Changelog::
26-07-2006 fixed: Video streaming fixed with UPnP (ShareOrDrive flag was the problem. 24-04-2006 fixed: paplayer can now play shoutcast mp3 streams .. Thx to frov for sending me a dvd that had this problem some subtitles still update when you select - 27-03-2004 fixed: Choppy lossless WMA audio.

I connect to the PC by using the UPNP media server option in either My Music or My Videos in XBMC repectively and the video files show up and play fine. The problem is when trying to play the WMA files. The default player is PAPlayer. This will not play the files. If I select the play using MPlayer option, they work fine. I copied some WMA files over to the XBox by FTP. In this situation, they play fine automatically, which I assume is with the default PAPlayer.

So my hypothesized conclusion:
XBMC MPlayer works fine with this WMP11 UPNP media server, but this feature is not supported in the PAPlayer. Please provide your feedback or other problems that are incorrect with my setup or possible solutions.
I tried SVN from 2007-01-09 and UPNP and WMA worked.

I tried playing the same lossless WMA files through SMB share and they work fine.
