Is there a particular place in NYC that the French fans will be congregating for the World Cup games? Sadly, I just got rid of my French tickets - just couldn't make it to Germany this year. Anyways, since I can't sit with the fans in Deutschland, any chance of me doing so here in New York? Just Jolley:: My wife just arrived to NYC from being in Dallas the last three months Don't get me wrong, les Bleus hold a special place in the hearts and minds of other 'bar' I have seen that opened its doors for World Cup viewing parties. http://justjolley.blogspot.com/HOME | YFSF: La Dolce Vita:: Jul 11, 2006 YFSF is in the NYC Blogads Network. Well - they are showing the game, but there was just a handful of French fans there for today's game. Anybody have any better luck elsewhere?
anyone know of a place in LA?
Well I was at the Cat and Fiddle on Sunset Boulevard for the Champions League final. Good venue. They had a nice little terrace outside.
The Cock and Bull in Santa Monica would be your best bet.
In terms of French bars - I dunno. Maybe guignol would know of some...

lefutur - any word from Bar Tabac?
since it was a weekday game I had to view the second half during my lunchbreak at an italian joint in Soho calle Le Streghe. Just a few people in there but a whole lot of French people across the street at Felixe. It was too crowded and the TVs were too small which is why I chose the Italian place instead. This weekend I will be in NJ watching the France-Korea game at a WC party at my friend's house.
I envy you ********ers.
Imagine my options out here......... At least it'll be in HD on the plasma though.
Bar Tabac would be perfect - I live about two blocks from there. I know Jolie on Atlantic Avenue is showing them, but it's not a very lively joint.
I live in Prospect Heights so I'm not too far either. I definately want to call them up and ask if they will be showing the games. They always answer in French there!

There's always Nevada Smiths (3rd ave & 11th) which is an excellent soccer bar and always shows the France games (even the friendlies). I was there for the Mexico game and it was a great time. I imagine for the WC it may get overly crowded so I'll probably want to find some alternative spots.
I think there's a place called Bar-Tabac on Smith street in Bklyn that might show the games on a big screen.
Nevada Smiths is awesome. Also if you are planning to be around mid town Manhattan there is a place called Tonic. I saw the Champions League final there and it was packed. I think they will show all the WC games.
Where was the last debate on wednesday with Mccain and Obama?
