What does a non profit budget look like?
can it have working meals? what section does this go under? that sort of thing.
I used to intern in the not for profit sector of a public accounting firm doing audit as an undergraduate and the budgets vary wildly depending on the size of the entity. Not for profits can operate very similarly to for profits. I did work on one not for profit client who's CEO was paid $600,000 a year. many of them are notorious for wasting money on staff perks etc. So yes, they can have working meals.. and much more...
A non profit budget looks like any other budget, except that no earnings are reflected in the bottom line. It can have anything as long as you can justify that it is work related or is related to the attainment of the project objective.
